The objective of this project is to ensure that there is a TV studio capable of providing broadcast digital content on more than one platform The strategies that will be implemented to meet the objectives include: • Feasibility study and coming up with a design and BOQ for materials needed. • Procuring and testing of equipment • Installation of equipment. • Testing and commissioning of the equipment. • Training . The aim of the project is to supply, install, test and commission a digital HD broadcast studio capable of: • Capturing analog and embedded video sources; • Capturing sources from satellite; • Playing direct from media storage; • Capturing social media platform sources from skype, facebook and many more as inputs; • Outputting to DVB terrestrial and satellite platforms through MPEG4 encoder; • Outputting to streaming platforms; • Storage • editing • Monitoring off air. • Outside Broadcasting This is in an effort to provide viewers on the terrestrial and social media platforms, access to information through broadcasting entertaining, educative and informative programming. The project shall include procuring, testing, installation, commissioning and training for a digital Television studio, and will include: • Civil Works • Lighting works • Acoustic works • Networking • Electrical installation • Cooling system installation • Installation and configuration of broadcast equipment • Power conditioning equipment installation. • Training We have secured the TV Station license from Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) to begin broadcasting. The challenge we are facing is lack of the required funding to set up the studio facilities, purchase other assets, produce content and meet other initial overhead costs, for us to commence full time operations. The funding required is USD$1,000.000 only, with the following utilization: Studio set-up costs – These are the costs of procuring equipment required for the studio to function. Marketing – These are 50% of the projected marketing costs for the first year of operations. Content costs – These are the estimated costs of producing content in the first 6 months of operations. Staff costs - These are 50% of the staff costs for the first year of operations. Other fixed assets – These include motor vehicles, equipment and furniture for admin staff.
