As General Manager, Agricultural and Processed Food Export Development Authority (APEDA), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India have more than 30 years of experience in varied fields of agri produce exports, which includes fresh and processed fruits and vegetables, other processed foods, cereals, livestock products and floriculture and registration of member exporters and finance. Holding Master's Degree in Commerce and a qualified Company Secretary, I have undertaken different capacity building programmes in Foreign Trade, Quality, SPS/TBT and International Trade Negotiations. Represented India as part of delegations to different countries for taking up issues relating to agri exports and bilateral meetings. In addition, participated in international events to showcase the strength of Indian agri products. Actively involved in formulation and implementation of various schemes for the enhancing agro exports from the country.

Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is a statutory body under the administrative control of Ministry of Commerce and Industry Government of India. 700 plus agro based products, are promoted for exports through us. Exports of products look after by APEDA to Africa during 2018-19 were to the tune of US Dollar 2671 million. Major products being exported to the African region are Rice, Buffalo Meat, Confectionery, Alcoholic Beverages and Cereal products.
