The Ministry’s functions entail 1. To implement Zimbabwe's foreign policy as pronounced by H.E. the President; 2. Promote Zimbabwe's economic, political, social and cultural interests; 3. Protect the interests and safety of Zimbabwean nationals abroad; 4. Ensure compliance with Continental and Regional Treaties, Agreements and protocols; 5. Maintain communication with Zimbabwe's Diplomatic Missions abroad as well as those Foreign Missions based in Harare; 6. Provide timeous advice on foreign policy matters and implement policies in line with regional and continental integration; 7. Conduct negotiation of agreements governing political, economic, social and cultural relations with other countries;
