Daniel is a Director of Riobex (Pty) Ltd and is also Managing Member of Kgorong Consultancy. He has over 16 years experience working in financial sector, specifically in accounting, auditing, financial management and taxation. Prior to this he was a Finance Expect for Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) whereby he was given an award for being the best Financial Expect in Local Government for Northern Region in 2010, before that he was an advisor at Zambezi Capital (Pty) Ltd where he was seconded to National Department of Social Services as a General Manager (Financial Control) to assist in setting up the South African Social Security Services.
Daniel started his career at Ernest and Young as a Trainee Accountant and amongst other duties was responsible for performing of corporate audits, tax advisory services, drafting and reviewing of financial statement, drafting of management reports and supervising of audit juniors.
After completion of articles, he then moved to GMM Chartered Accountants as Audit Manager and amongst other duties was responsible for training and supervision of audit clerks, planning of audit, finalisation of audit, drafting of financial statement and responsible for co-ordination of training of School Governing Body member on Financial Management.
He then moved to Linkages Consulting and Financial Services as a Senior Manager, where he was involved in the following projects: involved in sec 139 intervention by North West Local Government on Mafikeng Municipality, involved in Northern Cape Municipal Support Programme , seconded to University of North West to assist in conducting of councillor training and also wrote financial management manuals for National Department of Health and serves as adviser for National Department of Health for NGO’s funding Unit.
He then moved to Zambezi Capital before forming Kgorong Consultancy.
