Dr Semnarayan has completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) awarded with Academic Honorary Colours from the University of Pretoria Gordon Institute of Business Science; Master of Business Administration awarded with Distinction from the University of Witwatersrand Business School; Master of Science from the University of Stellenbosch; and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Natal. He is a Professional Engineer, and Certified Director with the Institute of Directors South Africa.
Dr Semnarayan is an accomplished Board Director and CEO with over 25 years professional working experience across various industries. Dr Semnarayan’s goal is to inspire leaders, create breakthrough technologies, and advance business and society sustainably using science, engineering and technology. Dr Semnarayan has a proven track record of delivering results through strategic thinking and client engagement, executed through highly effective teams. Dr Semnarayan has established businesses and partnerships extensively in Africa and internationally, including China, India, UK, EU and the US.
Community development in underprivileged areas is delivered through NPOs that he has established. Dr Semnarayan supports leading Business Schools and the Engineering Council in mentoring Business and Engineering Professionals.
