Rishi Shimpi has over 15 years of experience mainly in the Sales/Business Development function with large EPC companies. He has worked extensively in various sectors like Power (Generation, Transmissions and Distribution), Infrastructure (Roads, Railway, Bridges, etc.), Water (Treatment Plants, Supply Systems, Irrigation) and Construction (Large Projects). He is an Electronics Engineer with an MBA from Indian Institute of Management (Indore).
He is currently heading Business Development for Shapoorji Pallonji And Co. Pvt. Ltd. for the East Africa region (based out of Nairobi, Kenya). In his last position, he led Sales and Business Development for Sterling & Wilson for Middle East & North Africa region (based out of Dubai, UAE) and was instrumental in securing power projects with some of the largest manufacturing companies and utilities in the region. Previously, he worked with L&T in various positions including Sales and Strategic Planning where he led the formulation and implementation of company’s 5-year strategic plan.
