KEAS is an Agri-Input company focusing on supply the niche market of small scale, peri-urban, and emerging farmers in South Africa.
KEAS is headquartered in Brits, Northwest province South Africa.
In South Africa 70% Maize is commercially grown. In 1956, 53% of Maize was produced by small-scale farmers. 13 million people go hungry per day in SA. Access to appropriate seed technology will reduce this figure significantly.
KEAS believe availability of Agri-puts would be a solution to game changing this challenge.
KEAS provides Seed and Agri-inputs through Agro-dealers. This assists in food security and self-sufficiency. This is done by consolidated buying power hence increasing sustainability of Agro-dealers and farmers.
This increases accessibility for the farmer, hence sustainable food production. The current voucher model being implement by the Government and Presidential / Solidarity Fund could also benefit, creating a value chain locally, in areas previously marginalized.
KEAS provide Micro-distributors stock on consignment. On selling the Micro-distributors deposit sales. Micro-distributors keep their margin, market derived. Model enables stocking levels, with less working capital requirement.
