Company Profile
The CII India Business Forum (South Africa) is an exclusive group of corporate members, primarily Indian companies with existing or planned operations in South Africa. The CII-IBF (SA) provides an avenue for senior representatives of South African or African-wide operations of Indian companies based in various regions across SA to come together and represent India Inc. It provides an opportunity for them to discuss their views and raise shared concerns with regard to policy and markets with relevant stakeholders, such as the High Commission of India in SA, SA Government representatives and agencies, members of Parliament, SA universities and others. The Forum provides a platform for knowledge sharing to enhance and support market effectiveness and growth. In addition to facilitating their participation at several high-level India-SA related conferences and events featuring government officials and business leaders, it also provides access to unparalleled networking opportunities. Through our wide network of strategic partners across South Africa, our members can connect with the local business community. Further, to assist members in learning about and taking advantage of the competitive strengths and incentives offered by various regions, the CII-IBF (SA) also organizes delegations of interested companies to the regions, opening doors to new business opportunities and new avenues for business collaboration. The CII- IBF (SA) also takes pride in promoting the image of Indian Business in SA, standing as a collective voice of industry, as well as ultimately building “Brand India.” n umbrella for more than 100 Indian Businesses, who have collectively invested more than R 100 billion in South Africa, and employ close to 25,000 South Africans, the India Business Forum is doing its part in promoting multilaterism, international trade and inclusive sustainable development to address the multitude of global issues while promoting inclusive economic growth to the benefit of all. Going forward, we look forward to a vibrant economic cooperation between India and South Africa by making the Forum as an essential first stop shop for Indian Businesses looking to invest in South Africa as well as South African Businesses looking to invest in India. We look forward to using our platform to highlight many economic bottlenecks plaguing the economic ties between the two countries and to use advocacy for streamlining the customs, PTA and other artificial tariffs which hinder free movement of goods and services between our nations even though both are essential partners in BRICS.
