Dr. Mahlati is a seasoned economic empowerment executive who throughout his career has served as a director in various financial services companies including banking, life insurance, health risk management, employee benefits and administration, and private equity. He has successfully set up various private equity funds for SMEs and participated in large empowerment transactions including Aspen Pharmaceuticals, Old Mutual, and Nedbank.
