Mr D V Manohar is Founder Chairman of Shri Shakti Group, active in Hospitality, Education, LPG and Solar Power Generation.
Past Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Past President of Hotels and Restaurants Association of Andhra Pradesh.
He is the Chairman of Hyderabad Bicycling Club (HBC). Under his leadership, HBC has grown from just about 800 members in 2011 to over
16000 members now and emerged as the World’s largest cycling club online overtaking the Denver Front Range Cycling Club, USA.
He is the Vice President & Treasurer of World Cycling Alliance, Brussels.
He was speaker at two sessions at Habitat III in October, 2016 in Quito,Ecuador “the once in a generation” summit organized by the United
Nations to finalise the New Urban Agenda for the World for the years 2016-2036.
He was speaker at Velo-City Global 2014 at Adelaide, Australia, Velo-City Global 2015 at Nantes & Velo-City Global 2016 at Taipei.
He was also speaker at Scientists for Cycling Colloquium organized by University of South Australia along with European Cyclists
Federation, at Adelaide, Australia in May, 2014.
TED Speaker where he shared his passions of both Cycling and Entrepreneurship on this international platform.
Mr Manohar accompanied the Prime Minister of India Mr Narendra Modi to Rwanda & Uganda as Member of the Indian Business
delegation in July, 2018.
Successfully finished the over 520 kms long gruelling London to Paris Cycle Challenge 2011 from 1st June to 4th June 2011 &
repeated the above Challenge Ride in May, 2013. This cycle ride is an annual event being organized by the U Foundation to raise
money for supporting the education of under privileged children.
