He is the CEO of ELIF Business Solutions ltd, GEN-GEW Country Host and CBC – Country Host, and GSEA- Country Chair, ELIF is a Zambian Enterprise involved in SMEs business development support services. Since 2005 has been partnered with COMESA and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group in implementing the COMESA - Zambia SME Toolkit Project(www.zamcom.smetoolkit.org).Edwin has a background of Business Administration and Marketing, and has championed various women and community projects ranging from Agro marketing, women ICTs enterprises development. 2005 Manchester University agencies supporting women ICTs enterprises Award winner, 2000 World Bank Group Development marketplace Innovations Competitions finalist, Washington D.C, USA. He has been associated with the world bank projects dating back to 1995 , initially managing the Rural Investment Fund ,Agriculture Investment Support Programme funded agro marketing development programme in Kapiri Mposhi. 2004 World Bank Group Carbon Finance and Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Projects Idea Note prepration trainners of Trainers programme – Moputo, Mozambique. 2004 - 2005 World Bank Group President Youth to Youth Renewable Energy (Y2Y Renewables) Panel member –Zambia –Africa. 2004 - 2006 Led the Development of the First Zambia Youth Renewable Energy Entreprenuership Programme with Youth Emlpoyment Summit Zambia ( YES –Zambia ) and YES –Global ,Boston, USA and UNIDO. Between 2008 – 2009 coordinated the COMESA Simplified trade Regime implementation process between and Zambia, Malawi and Zimbabwe this initiative focuses on enhancing intra-regional trade within the COMESA region and member countries with a focus on SMEs cross border trade documentation and regulation supplication. Dating back to 1997/8 he has been associated with the Zambia , Malawi and Mozambique growth triangle (ZMM-GT) initiative and 2009-10 supported the UNECA consultant Mr George Zulu in coming up the revival programme of the ZMM-GT by coming up with the inception report and all other related documentations. 2005- Award Winner - Agencies supporting Women ICTs Enterprises, 2008 Stockholm Challenge Finalist, Stockholm,Sweden on ICTs for Development and bridging the Digital Divide. ELIF was initially established in 2003 operating as Step Out Media Communications Business Development and Marketing Consultancy services and changed its operations to into ELIF in 2005. ELIF's core business activities include Business Development and Project Support Services with a concentration on information communication Technologies and enterprise development. In 2003 – 2005, ELIF Business Solution ltd partnered with the International Institute for Communication and Development (IICD) to develop, implement and manage the Small Initiative Fund (SIF) scheme to support ICT based enterprises and implemented for projects as follows:- Chawama Youth Project, Kalomo Women ICT Project, Ndola Youth Resource Centre and Yes – Zambia ICT Project In 2005, ELIF was given an Award for supporting Women ICT based enterprises by Manchester University of UK under a project supported by DFID and nominated to be part of the team to develop an hand book on Agencies supporting Women ICT based Enterprises, Kerala, Trivandrum, India August - September 2005. ELIF since 2006 has partnered with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group and COMESA to Implement the COMESA –Zambia SME Toolkit Project. The SME Toolkit is a computer web –based business information resource tool or portal with a focus on Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Farmers and Businesses. Since 2008 we have partnered with the Kauffman Foundation as the Country Global Host for the Global Entrepreneurship Network (www.zm.gen.co), also known as GEN-Zambia (www.gen.co . Since 2012 partnered with the Creative Business Cup (www. creativebusinesscup.com) in promoting creative businesses and startups. In 2012 we also developed the ELIF Poultry Products brand, which aims at creating a poultry product market through processing, branding and packaging. In this initiative we have also partnered with Pick n Pay chain stores to offer a country products market of our whole chickens and four other portions ie; breasts, thighs, wings and others. In 2014 ELIF partnered with former Startup Cup –USA in developing the WECREATE Zambia centre for Women Empowerment, while also promoting National Economic Diversification Initiatives and has since partnered with the Ministry of Tourism in promoting the Marketing Zambia Initiative (a tourism strategy) from the initial Marketing Africa Initiative. 2018 collaborating with the Cavendish University Zambia, Mulungushi and Kwame Nkrumah Universities in promoting the Global Students Entrepreneurship Awards (GSEA) www.gsea.org . 2017 part of the key contributors the 2018- 2040 Zambian Tourism Development Master plan.
